Manual T: where the air lands matters.
Included with every Manual D. Drafty corners, a cold spot over the bed and whistling grilles are usually air distribution problems. Manual T selects and places supply outlets and returns so the air actually mixes the room.
What it is
Manual T sizes and locates supply diffusers, registers and return grilles using manufacturer data for throw, spread, drop and sound.
It turns the airflow numbers from Manual D into a room that feels even from the doorway to the window. We run it in Wrightsoft, the industry-standard software for ACCA Manuals.
When you need it
Manual T is rarely the line item a permit asks for, but it is the one homeowners feel. It is most valuable in high-performance homes, tall ceilings, and rooms with large glass.
